Future Markets

Security Screening
Sequestim Ltd., a Cardiff University spin-out, is developing walk-through security body scanners using passive imaging at terahertz frequencies.
Each scanner contains a sophisticated system of filters to generate very high imaging sensitivity.

6G Communications
The International Telecommunications Union has begun work on the vision for 6G & will exploit frequencies between 90 and 300 GHz.
Beyond 6G, high data throughput wireless comms will target 2–5 THz.
