Security Screening

Sequestim Ltd., a Cardiff University spin-out, is developing walk-through security body scanners using passive imaging at terahertz frequencies with cryogenically cooled detector arrays with extremely high sensitivity.

6G Communications

The International Telecommunications Union has begun work on the vision for 6G & will exploit frequencies between 90 and 300 GHz.

Beyond 6G, high data throughput wireless comms will target 2–5 THz.
